Having 'the right image' with professional photography is essential on any professional website.
And no, by this, we don't mean 'taking a quick snap on an iphone'.
Professional images are the difference between an amateur website and a professional one. It's that simple.
Many under estimate this aspect thinking 'it's ok' to get by with amateur photos. If you want to look professional to sponsors, it's not ok.
Further, a number of problems can actually arise if your photography is not done professionally:
1) Is the image you have of yourself, legally copyright free?
2) Can you use the images on your website without paying the photographer a fee?
3) Many people these days claim to be professional photographers. But are they qualified?
